11.4.09 | Women's Cross Country
The Blazer cross country team competed in the MIAC Championships this past Saturday where they took seventh place out of twelve teams. The MIAC's award list was sent out and two members of the Blazer team were listed. Senior Alyx Chapman (Stillwater, MN, Stillwater Area) was named a 2009 MIAC All-Conference runner having taken thirteenth place in the race. Also, junior Molly Noel (Eagan, MN, Cretin-Derham Hall) was named part of the 2009 All-MIAC Women's Cross Country Sportsmanship Team.

10.31.09 | Women's Cross Country
The Blazer cross country team took seventh out of twelve teams at the MIAC Championships Saturday afternoon. The team was lead by senior runner  ac with a time of 23.35.4, taking 13th overall out of 229 athletes and named an All-Conference runner. Following Chapman was sophomore kk with a time of 23.51.1, taking 18th place and named an All-Conference Honorable Mention. Next in was ks with a time of 24.22.1, ms with a time of 24.29.7, and rounding out the top five for the Blazers was as with at time of 24.38.6. cs and mn also finished with strong times of 24.50.2 and 25.14.8.

10.20.09 | Women's Cross Country
One of the most difficult decisions for a sophomore college student is deciding on a major.  That isn’t the case for sophomore cross country runner Kaycee Knutson (Esko, Minn./Esko).  Coming from a family where education has been a way of life has made Knutson feel right at home in the education field.

The College of Saint Benedict Blazer cross country team finished 17th overall at the Tori Neubauer Invitational in La Crosse, Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon.

10.2.09 | Women's Cross Country
    The College of Saint Benedict competed in the BluGold Invitational at the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire this Firday and came out with an eighth  place finish out of ninteen teams. Out of 130 runners, senior Alyx Chapman (Stillwater, MN, Stillwater Area) was first for the Blazers taking 18th place with a time of 23:16. Sophomore Kaycee Knutson (Esko, MN, Esko) was close behind with a time of 23:46 taking 31st.

9.26.09 | Women's Cross Country
This season, the Blazers cross country team is currently placed 9th in the Region. At the National Catholic Invite that took place Friday September 18th, the Blazers took fifth place out of twenty-four teams.  Coach Robin Balder- Lanoue plans on moving up in the regions rankings by the end of this season. With the talented athletes that the cross country team possess, there is no way that the team cannot reach this goal.

9.19.09 | Women's Cross Country
    The College of Saint Benedict cross country team finished strong at the National Catholic Invite this past Friday at the Universtiy of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, IN. The Blazers took fifth out of twenty-four teams with two runners, Alyx Chapman and Kaycee Knutson, who finished in the top 25 performances of all time in the 5k race. Senior Alyx Chapman (Stillwater, MN, Stillwater Area) led the way for the Blazers taking 13th place with a time of 19:22. Following Chapman was sophomore runner Kaycee Knutson (Esko, MN, Esko) who took 16th place with a time of 19:29.
