4.25.09 | Women's Softball
The CSB softball team entered Saturday afternoon's game with the hopes of closing the season on a positive note.  After dropping six straight, including the Cobbers 8-0 victory in Game 1, the Blazers were determined to get a win in the final game for seniors Jillian Rigg (Billings, MT, Central Catholic) and Genna Strauss (Red Wing, MN, Red Wing).  CSB (9-13 MIAC, 13-21 overall) was successful as they held off a late rally by Concordia College to hold on for a 2-1 victory in the second game of the doubleheader.

4.25.09 | Women's Softball
The College of Saint Benedict softball team ran into a hot hitting Bethel team Friday afternoon at CSB Field.  The Royals pounded out 32 hits including six homeruns en route to a 5-1, 14-4 sweep of the Blazers.  In both games, Bethel jumped out to an early lead and their impressive performance at the plate was too much for CSB to overcome.

4.22.09 | Women's Softball
The CSB softball team came up on the losing end in both games Wednesday afternoon against Hamline University.  The College of Saint Benedict Blazers held a lead in both games but were unable to hang on as they fell to 8-10 in MIAC action.  The Pipers benefited from three homeruns on the day and swept the Blazers (8-10 MIAC, 12-18 overall) 6-3, 6-4.

The College of Saint Benedict sofball team held off a late Augsburg rally in Game 1 Tuesday afternoon but were unable to answer the Auggies' bats in Game 2 and settled for a split.  CSB (8-8 MIAC, 12-16 overall) took Game 1 10-9 and fell 19-7 in the nightcap.

4.19.09 | Women's Softball
The College of Saint Benedict softball team picked up a pair of wins Sunday afternoon over Carleton College to improve to 7-7 in the MIAC.  The Blazers (7-7 MIAC, 11-15 overall) broke out of their offensive slump by collecting 12 hits in each game on their way to a 6-2, 8-0 sweep of the Knights.
