Blazers Fall Short to Concordia Cobbers
The College of Saint Benedict Blazer soccer team (10-7-1 overall/ 6-5-0 MIAC) fell short in their last regular season game against the Concordia Cobbers (16-0-1 overall/ 10-0-1 MIAC) this past Saturday with a score of 0-3. The Blazers lose their chance of being placed in the MIAC playoffs because of this devistating loss.

The Cobbers were able to take an early lead against the Blazers by scoring a goal within the first ten minutes of the game. But the Blazers kept strong against Concordia and senior goalkeeper Shannon Strohm (Burnsville, MN, Apple Valley) helped lead the Blazers with five saves throughout the game. First year Jess Pellegrene (Maple Grove, MN, Totino-Grace) also was a strong force on the field with two shots made on the Cobber goalkeep.
