CSB Cross Country Finishes 3rd in Fall Finale 5K

The College of Saint Benedict cross country team took third out of 10 teams Friday afternoon at the Fall Finale in Collegeville, MN. The Blazers finshed with a total of 52 points. South Dakota State University finished in first place with a score of 46, and Gustavus Adolphus came in second with a score of 51. CSB received several strong individual performances as all seven of the runners that scored in the meet finished under 21 minutes.
The Blazers were led by sophomore
Shannon McEvoy (Bloomington, MN, Jefferson),who finished fifth overall with a time of 19:56. McEvoy was followed by first-year runner
Shannon Lane (Beaverton, OR, Southridge) (20:12), senior
Katie Ebben (Kaukauna, WI, Xavier) (20:16), sophomore
Kelly Donahue (Plymouth, MN, Wayzata) (20:27), first-year
Nicola Franta (La Crescent, MN, La Crescent) (20:29), first-year
Rebecca Angermeier (Waukesha, WI, Catholic Memorial) (20:29), and first-year
Anna Williams (Apple Valley, MN, Eastview) (20:42).
The next meet for the Blazers will be the NCAA Central Regionals in Grinell, Iowa on Saturday, November 14 at 11 a.m.
