Blazer Tennis Collects Another Victory

CSB tennis has had a very successful weekend and added three wins to the victory column. The College of Saint Benedict won 7-2 against Concordia on Sunday April 26th.  

The Blazers captured two of the three doubles matches and five of the six singles matches today. Sophomore captain Kylie Huether (Sioux Falls, SD , Washington) and first-year Alyson Brandell (Elk River, MN, Elk River) dominated the court with an 8-1 victory. Huether also dominated in the singles with a 6-2, 6-1 finish. Junior Katie Rudnitski (Gilman, MN, Foley) and first-year Lauren Jones (Ogden, UT, Saint Joseph Catholic) had a close match but won 8-6.  Junior captain Rachel Tiegs (Rochester, MN, Lourdes) on 6-1, 6-2.  First-year Megan Seipel (New London, MN, New London-Spicer) finished 6-4, 6-4.

Athletes of the Week
Julia Renner
Renner placed first and second in the triple jump and long jump respectively at the MIAC Championships.  Her winning jump of 11.23 meters in the triple jump met an NCAA provisional mark as well.
