Blazers Fall in Wisconsin
The College of Saint Benedict (2-8-2, 0-4-2 MIAC) despite playing well fell 5-0 to the University of Wisconsin-Superior in the first of two games Friday night.

The Blazers take away from the game positives in knowing they were able to skate with yellowjackets; the same team that shut out Saint Thomas only a few nights before.

Saint Benedict recorded eleven shots on the night while being outshot 11-43. The Blazers were lead on the ice by their goalies who split time during the game. Junior Abbie Helminen (Brighton, MI, Brighton (Belle Tire)) started the game for the team in the net playing the first and second period and recording 14 saves. Sophomore Lauren Herzog (Mendota Heights, MN, Convent of the Visitation) played in the second and third period gathering 24 saves.

The Blazers look to even the series tomorrow afternoon with their second game against the yellowjackets. Faceoff is scheduled for 2 pm.
