Four Blazers Receive MIAC Basketball Awards; Durbin Named MIAC Coach of the Year
The MIAC released its 2009-2010 MIAC Women's Basketball Awards this afternoon, with four Blazers and head coach Mike Durbin chosen for honors.

Juniors Heather Gillund (Ham Lake, MN, Blaine) and Amy Stifter (Watertown, MN, Watertown-Mayer) were named to All-Conference.  Junior Laura Canton (Pine Island, MN, Pine Island) received Honorable Mention All-Conference recognition.  Senior Mindy Schmidt (Brooklyn Park, MN, Champlin Park) was named to the All-MIAC Sportsmanship team.

Head Coach Mike Durbin was named the MIAC Coach of the Year after the Blazers finished the season 18-4 in the conference with a share of the MIAC Regular Season Championship, making this CSB's fifth consecutive won or shared title.

Athletes of the Week
Danielle Busch
This week's Blazer Athlete of the Week is junior Danielle Busch (New Prague, MN, New Prague). Busch took first in the pole vault last Saturday with a height of 3.45 meters. This height is higher than where Busch started last season and is the best performance in the conference this season.
