Cross Country and Track and Field athlete Katy Torchia (Rochester, MN, Lourdes) was named this year's Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Torchia, a junior nursing major, finished the 2009-2010 academic year with a 4.00 GPA, the best among Blazer athletes this season.

Danielle Busch
Danielle Busch
This week's Blazer Athlete of the Week is junior Danielle Busch (New Prague, MN, New Prague). Busch took first in the pole vault last Saturday with a height of 3.45 meters. This height is higher than where Busch started last season and is the best performance in the conference this season.
