Blazer Softball Announces 2010 Award Winners

The College of Saint Benedict softball team announced their end of the season awards after the completion of their season.
Senior
Shannon Eveland (Maple Grove, MN, Maple Grove) was named the team's Most Valuable Player. Eveland finished the season with a .385 batting average. She collected 45 hits including eight doubles and scored a team-high 26 runs. Junior
Kristen Herges (Rochester, MN, John Marshall) was selected as the team's Most Improved Player. Herges batted .283 on the season with eight doubles.
Junior
Carissa Hancock (Grand Rapids, MN, Grand Rapids) received the Blazer Pride Award, and junior
Kirsten Fasching (Montrose, MN, Watertown-Mayer) received the Sportsmanship Award. Hancock along with juniors
Devin Bowlin (Winona, MN, Winona Cotter) and
Abby Richardson (Storm Lake, IA, St. Mary's) were selected as team captains for the 2011 season.
