TennisTeam2010
2010 Blazer Tennis Team
The College of Saint Benedict Blazer tennis team (6-4 MIAC, 12-7 overall) were eliminated from the MIAC Playoffs by eventual champion Gustavus (10-0 MIAC, 31-10 overall) in a 5-0 loss on Saturday morning in St. Peter, MN.  The match was played until a decision was clinched.

The Blazers were never able to find a rhythm against the Gusties, beginning the match with three losses in doubles competition.  The #1 doubles squad of Kylie Huether and Alyson Brandell fell to Sierra Krebsbach and Sam Frank 8-1, Elissa Husby and Lauren Jones lost 8-2 to Marianne Barau and Megan Gaard, and Sarah Rossman and Megan Seipel slipped 8-3 against Ali O'Neal Maria Bryan.

At #2 singles, Husby couldn't quite upset Barau in a 6-1, 6-3 decision, and the final match of the contest saw Seipel lose 6-0, 6-0 to Alex Erickson at #6 singles.
