Blazer Golf Practice Under Way

The College of Saint Benedict Blazer golf team had their first practice of the season yesterday.  Fourth year head coach Pat Michaud returns four from last years team with the addition of first-year Jillian Sampair (White Bear Lake, MN, Hill-Murray).

Last season the Blazers had one of the best seasons in school history.  CSB finished in the top five in seven of their nine meets and took second in the MIAC.

One of Michaud's key returners from last season is junior Kathryn Hauff (Fargo, ND, Shanley).  Last season Hauff took 47th at the NCAA Division III National Golf Championships.  She also recorded the lowest 18 and 36 hole scores in school history. 

The Blazers begin play on September 4th at the BluGold Fall Invite.

Danielle Busch
Danielle Busch
This week's Blazer Athlete of the Week is junior Danielle Busch (New Prague, MN, New Prague). Busch took first in the pole vault last Saturday with a height of 3.45 meters. This height is higher than where Busch started last season and is the best performance in the conference this season.
